Our AAAHC ACCREDITATION

Beleza Medspa has achieved accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC)in 2013 and was reaccredited in 2016 for another 3 year period. Accreditation distinguishes this office based surgery center from many other outpatient facilities by providing the highest quality of care to its patients as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation. Beleza Medspa is specifically accredited for its surgical services at the Body By Beleza surgery suite in Cedar Park.

Update: Beleza Medspa receives AAAHC Accreditation through 2022!

Status as an accredited organization means Beleza Medspa has met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. More than 5,000 ambulatory health care organizations across the United States are accredited by AAAHC. Not all ambulatory health care organizations seek accreditation; not all that undergo the rigorous on-site survey process are granted accreditation.

“We believe our patients deserve the best,” stated Beleza Medspa. “When you see our certificate of accreditation, you will know that AAAHC, an independent, not-for-profit organization, has closely examined our facility and procedures. It means we as an organization care enough about our patients to strive for the highest level of care possible.”

Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by AAAHC expert surveyors – physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The survey is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.

“Going through the process challenged us to find better ways to serve our patients, and it is a constant reminder that our responsibility is to strive to continuously improve the quality of care we provide,” said Beleza Medspa.

What is the AAAHC?

The AAAHC, is a private, non-profit organization committed to developing Standards that advance and promote patient safety, quality health care, and value in ambulatory health care settings through peer-based accreditation processes, education and research. Accreditation is awarded to organizations that are found to be in compliance with AAAHC Standards.

What Does Accreditation Mean for My Care?

Whether you are getting ready to undergo a surgical procedure, selecting a pediatrician for your newborn, or something in between, your health care choices matter. You should feel empowered to ask your physician questions, not only about his or her personal credentials and training, but also about the practice as a whole.

Seeing the AAAHC Certificate of Accreditation can help answer some of your questions. AAAHC accreditation means that the organization has undergone a thorough review of its policies and practices and is committed to quality patient care.

Below are some examples of what the Accreditation Association looks for when surveying an organization. Beleza Medspa performed a thorough self-examination of each of these areas and then underwent a two day, on-site survey to determine if we met AAAHC standards.
