Vanessa did not always know she wanted to be a nurse or work in aesthetics. In fact, her interests and studies have varied widely and included architecture, art, health, fitness, nutrition, and exercise science. She began a program in Architecture before switching and earning a degree in Exercise Science. She then furthered her studies by earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing.
In 2007, while working in the CVICU, she began her graduate studies and realized she would like a less stressful job while she was in school. That is when she found and secured her first aesthetics job as a nurse injector. Until then, she thought she would have to choose: a job in the creative field or a job in medicine. When she realized she could marry the two, well, she was very happy indeed!
“I was always fascinated by the structure and visual appearance of buildings, rooms, fashion, the human body and faces. I’d spend hours drawing eyes, noses and lips, as a kid. As I got older, the human body, how it functioned, the anatomy, was a major focus. Finding a profession that allows me to combine all of my varied passions and interests has been such a blessing. I guess becoming an injector was always meant to be. I love it!”
Vanessa continues to further her training in the field, honing her skills and abilities. She truly enjoys using her knowledge and talent to help others look and feel better about themselves.
Vanessa enjoys spending her free time with her husband, son and their frenchie, working out, yoga, interior design, art, and working on her side business (www.gym-Gypsy.com)
