Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure Case Study
A 41-year-old female came to Beleza Medspa for liposuction of the abdomen and inner thighs. After consultation with the cosmetic surgeon, the decision was made to pursue Buttock Augmentation with Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery. The patient felt that she “never had a butt” and would welcome any improvement. The surgeon felt the patient had a nice figure that would greatly benefit from body sculpting and fat transfer. He noted the patient’s flanks and back were larger than the size of her buttocks. This imbalance (which is common in many women), produced a lack of definition to the upper part of the buttocks and gave an appearance of “no butt” or a “flat butt”.
Butt Lift Surgery
The surgeon made preoperative markings (see below) to plan areas of fat removal and to define the shape of the new buttocks. He then performed aggressive liposuction and body contouring of the abdomen and waist. The goal was to markedly decrease her waist size and produce a well-defined border to her upper buttocks. This effect alone produced larger appearing buttocks. He then performed fat transfer using the fat collected from the liposuction. He carefully injected fat into multiple areas and levels to fill out her buttocks. His goal was to not only increase size but to produce a rounder, “bubble butt” shape. This entire procedure was performed while the patient was awake under local anesthesia. The patient went home pain-free at the end of the procedure and was able to resume normal activities in a few days
