Botox is the first and only treatment FDA-approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines look better in adults.
A combination of factors can cause facial lines. Cellular changes in the body as your body ages, or reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment can all lead to increased facial lines.
Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually leading in the formation of facial lines.
How Botox Cosmetic Works
Botox Cosmetic works beneath the surface of the skin and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines in adults. This will result in a visibly smoother appearance of the face.
Our experienced Botox Cosmetic Injectors will be able to administer Botox to your desired location of frown lines, crow’s feet, and/or forehead lines. Botox Cosmetic can also correct several common aging symptoms. Below is a list of where Botox Cosmetic can treat:

Treatment and Downtime
A Botox Cosmetic treatment can be a quick 15 to 20-minute treatment with minimal downtime. Your injector will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you. Some patients have reported that being injected with Botox feels like a pinch. We are able to use ice to numb the treatment area. If you experience discomfort during treatment, the injector may apply a topical numbing cream after administering Botox.
Treatment requires minimal downtime, so you can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave. Patients may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines. It delivers predictable, subtle results, so you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines.
Botox Efficacy and Multiple Treatments
The results of Botox Cosmetic can start to appear within a few days and will continue to improve until the full effect is achieved within 14 days of treatment. Botox Cosmetic typically lasts anywhere from 3 to 4 months from treatment. Some patients have reported up to 6 months of efficacy, however. The effects of Botox may gradually fade over time when you undergo multiple Botox Cosmetic treatments. Most patients undergo periodic Botox maintenance, typically getting Botox 3 to 4 times per year.
