Submental Fullness

Submental fullness refers to the area often known as the double chin. Major attributes that may affect submental fullness can be weight gain, genetics, and aging. You don’t have to be overweight to have fullness under your chin. Sometimes, no matter how much you exercise or diet, the condition may not go away.

What Is Kybella?

Kybella’s active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid. This acid occurs naturally as a molecule in the body to aid in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. Kybella only treats fat cells, and once destroyed, your body will get rid of the fat cells through its metabolic processes. This can lead to prevention of future fat accumulation since the fat cells will be destroyed.

How is Kybella Administered?

Kybella injection treatment can only be administered by a Kybella-trained healthcare specialist. At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under your chine, and the injection process can take about 15 to 20 minutes.
