What is Microblading?

While they don't get much attention, your eyebrows are an important facial feature that can either help or hurt your overall appearance. A set of strong, well-groomed eyebrows can define and enhance your facial features. If you have thin or sparse eyebrows due to overplucking, genetics, aging, or other causes, microblading at Beleza Surgery is a nonsurgical treatment that can create fuller eyebrows that look natural. This newer technique uses a special, semi-permanent ink and a skilled technician who can enhance or rebuild your eyebrows. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Staci Hix-Hernandez offers microblading for Central Texas patients who would like defined, natural-looking eyebrows. Schedule a consultation at Beleza Surgery in Cedar Park, Round Rock, Austin, or Killeen, TX to learn more about microblading and to get your personalized treatment plan.

Our Microblading Technique

Your microblading treatment will be done in one of our upscale offices with local anesthesia or numbing cream to limit discomfort. Based on how much treatment is being done, the microblading process may take anywhere from an estimated 1 – 3 hours. To begin the procedure, your natural eyebrows will be lightly combed and trimmed, if needed. Your eyebrows will then be shaded with an eyebrow pen, which will act as an indicator for where the microblading will be used. Beleza Surgery utilizes professional-quality ink products combined with an experienced technician to create thin, natural-looking strokes that mimic separate hairs for optimal results. Right after your microblading session, you are able to leave our office and continue normal activities without any recovery time needed. You may notice some redness around the treated areas; however, this normally goes away in an hour or so. Your brows will appear much darker immediately after the microblading process, but they will fade to your goal color in about two weeks. Dr. Hix-Hernandez suggests that you schedule a follow-up appointment after about a month to finalize and touch up your brows. On average, microblading results last around 1 – 2 years, but treatments may be performed as needed to sustain their appearance.
