Dr. Staci Hix-Hernandez Dr. Roger Smith

Staci Hix-Hernandez, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Staci Hix-Hernandez is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Central Texas. Dr. Hix-Hernandez received her Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University College of Arts and Sciences in 1999 in cell and molecular biology. From there, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Medicine from the same school in 2004. Committed to providing the highest degree of personalized care, Dr. Hix-Hernandez has spent the last decade of her career helping patients reach their unique goals based on the season of life they're in and their particular lifestyle. Notably, Dr. Hix-Hernandez has been named "Top Doctor" in Austin Monthly multiple times, been voted one of the "Leading Physicians of the World," and named one of the top ten best plastic surgeons for Texas by the American Institute of Plastic Surgeons.

Specialties and Expertise

Dr. Hix-Hernandez's specialties include advanced and complex aesthetic surgeries. She has a focus on breast procedures, such as breast augmentation, reduction, lift, and reconstruction. She also focuses on body contouring procedures, such as tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, liposuction, gynecomastia, and other cosmetic revisions.

Roger Smith, M.D., F.A.C.S.

General Surgeon

Dr. Roger Smith leads the Beleza General Surgery Department. Dr. Smith believes strongly in a patient-centered approach to care with individualized treatment plans based on proven techniques in general surgery.

Formerly with Baylor Scott & White Health, Dr. Smith has over a decade of experience in General Surgery. His specialties include laparoscopic and open surgery with an emphasis on routine and complex hernia repair, including inguinal and ventral/incisional hernias, thyroid surgery, gallbladder removal, appendectomies, breast biopsies and excisions, liposuction, and gynecomastia surgery.

Dr. Smith studied at Baylor College of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2003. Before receiving his Doctorate of Medicine, he studied at the University of Texas at Austin, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology in 1999 with honors. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in 2012.

Dr. Smith is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, and a member of the Texas Surgical Society. He also holds memberships in the Americas Hernia Society, The American Society of Breast Surgeons, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.

When not practicing, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Along with his wife, Robyn, and two sons, Barrett and Hunter, they are passionate about playing and watching baseball and rugby. His hobbies also include fly fishing, woodturning, and shooting sports.

Dusky Glaiser, RN

Registered Nurse, Nurse Injector, and Surgery Consultant

Dusky received her associate's in nursing from Wharton County Junior College in 2007 and her Bachelor’s in nursing in 2018 from Western Governors University. The first nine years of her nursing career were spent working in labor and delivery, bringing life into this world. As amazing as those years were, she always knew she wanted to make the shift to plastic surgery and aesthetics. She has been working with Dr. Hix-Hernandez for four years now and is excited to be a part of Beleza Surgery. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals.

Dusky is a Texas native who enjoys being on the lake, listening to live music, hitting the slopes, and lounging on the beach. She is a mom of two teens and a trophy wife to her husband of over 20 years. There's never a dull moment with this one.

Nancy Aparicio, LE

Aesthetician and Injector

Nancy is a licensed medical aesthetician, cosmetic injector, and laser technician with over 22 years of experience in the aesthetic industry. She began her career as a massage therapist but quickly recognized that her true passion was in helping clients achieve their aesthetic goals. This prompted her to seek additional training focused on aesthetics.

Nancy graduated from the Texas School of Cosmetology and Vogue in San Antonio, TX, and has earned a certification from the National Laser Medical Institute. She possesses vast experience in injectable dermal fillers, neurotoxins, and lasers. Nancy continues to update her credentials, partnering with industry representatives to learn the most up-to-date products, technologies, and techniques.

“My approach is 100% patient-focused, as I believe that an optimal patient experience begins with careful listening in an effort to provide desired and realistic results. I draw from over two decades of experience to educate my patients on the latest technologies, along with integrative/noninvasive approaches that will help to refine and enhance their natural beauty."

In her spare time, she enjoys hanging with her 16-year-old daughter who keeps her young. She also enjoys exercising, dancing, and hiking the local trails in Austin. Sundays are always devoted to family time and recharging for the week ahead.

Laura Geiger, RN

Registered Nurse and Nurse Injector

Laura is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has over 30 years of experience in nursing. After first receiving Botox in 2008, her obsession for aging gracefully began. A native central Texan, she has returned to the area after working at the #1 rated med spa in Oklahoma City. She has completed countless advanced training courses to provide individualized services to her clients. She loves spending time with family, fried chicken, any shade of purple, Starbucks chai lattes, the Texas Longhorns and dogs. Laura’s favorite part of working at Beleza Surgery is building long lasting relationships with our team and amazing clients!

Tehia Rice, LE

Aesthetician and Laser Technician

Tehia Rice is a licensed medical aesthetician for Beleza Surgery at our Killeen location with 18 years of experience in the beauty/aesthetic industry. In 2014, she realized she had a greater passion for skin care in the constantly growing world of aesthetics. Tehia attended Nuvani Institute in Cedar Park, TX, where she gained extensive training and earned her Texas Aesthetician license. Later, she attended the National Laser Institute in Dallas for advanced medical aesthetics knowledge and training.

Tehia has been with the Beleza Surgery family since 2016. She is very passionate when it comes to skin care and helping patients achieve their current and long-term skin care/body goals. Tehia is one of the best in her field and is extremely knowledgeable in treating moderate to severe acne and hyperpigmentation through a vast array of medical-grade treatments. Tehia believes confidence starts with the skin — her drive comes from making patients feel safe and comfortable to help change their perception of their skin care goals.

Tehia enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with friends and family. She aims to live life to the fullest daily.

Ana De La Cruz, MA

Medical Aesthetician

I am a passionate esthetician with three years of experience in the world of plastic surgery and advanced skincare. I believe that healthy, radiant skin starts with education, personalized care, and a little self-love! When I'm not in the treatment room helping clients feel confident in their own skin, you can find me spending time with my family, spoiling my dogs, or diving into the latest skincare trends.

Rawaa Sheldon

Medical Aesthetician

We are thrilled to welcome Rawaa Sheldon as our new Medical Aesthetician at Beleza Surgery. With over 14 years of experience in the aesthetics industry, Rawaa brings a deep passion for skincare and a wealth of hands-on expertise.

She began her journey as a spa owner, where she honed her skills and developed a loyal client base. Her desire to expand her medical knowledge led her to work under a facial plastic surgeon, where she earned her aesthetic license and completed multiple professional certifications in advanced laser technologies.

Rawaa has a genuine love for beauty and takes pride in educating and empowering her clients, helping them achieve glowing, healthy skin through personalized care and professional treatments.

Outside of the treatment room, Rawaa is a devoted wife, a proud mother to beautiful young children, and a pet mom to two fluffy cats. She is excited to bring her warmth, skill, and expertise to the Beleza Surgery team and looks forward to helping patients look and feel their best.
