"I've been on my mommy makeover journey for quite some time now. But I am over joyed to have finally found the perfect doctor and staff. The Beleza Medspa/Surgery staff and Dr.Hernandez are very welcoming and informative. They are not just after your money they actually care about you and what’s best for you! The way they walked me through every process and answered all the questions I had(and I had a lot of them). I recently had my surgery this past Monday, and I cannot wait to see my final results. Thank you to everyone at the Beleza Medspa/Surgery for making this such a smooth process for me."- S.S. / Google / Apr 27, 2021
"Dr Hix is awesome and so nice!! She did a great job doing lipo on me. Nurse Dusky was very helpful and nice also. The staff at the Cedar Park & Killeen office were also very friendly!"- R.T. / Yelp / Mar 11, 2021
"My experience here was excellent. I did my research before deciding where to go for my Botox and filler and ended up choosing Beleza because of their extensively documented processes on their website as well as their very professional social media presence and high ratings on Yelp. They really did not disappoint. Booking ProcessThey were super easy to get ahold of and worked with me and my packed schedule to get me an appointment. It had to be rescheduled on my behalf once and then I ended up calling again because my work schedule allowed for my original appointment time again and they were so understanding on the phone and let me take my original date/time.OfficeThe office is well maintained and very clean and I was greeted warmly right away by Elena, after I filled out my paperwork I was greeted by Nancy. Treatment Nancy took me back and was very thorough during our consult. I am new to Botox/fillers and she has been in esthetics for 24 years so she had a ton of knowledge but what was even better was that she was that she responded to all my questions with care and kindness. I got filler in my cheeks and a bit in my undereye trough, Botox in my 11’s and then a little Botox around the mouth. She explained every step of the way and made me feel very at ease even though I’m not a big fan of needles. Overall my experience here was amazing and I will continue to return for more services with their lovely and knowledgable staff!"- S.M. / Yelp / Jan 22, 2021
What Is Skin Resurfacing?
For decades now, skin resurfacing procedures help repair the skin, typically using laser technology. Areas most commonly treated include the face, neck, upper chest, and hands. It can be the most dramatic non-invasive, non-surgical method to repair and renew the skin to address a wide range of skin concerns.
For someone who is experiencing aging, acne, blotching from sun exposure, scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, or lines, then laser skin resurfacing may help your skin look younger and healthier. This procedure uses a fractional-based skin resurfacing method that involves creating microscopic injuries to just a fraction of the skin. This leads to stimulation of natural wound healing, a response from your body, repairing the skin itself.
Why Opus Plasma?
The new Opus Plasma Fractional Laser procedure builds on the foundation of the popular and widely accepted science of fractional skin resurfacing. Beleza Surgery is the first to carry the new machine in the Austin area. The Opus uses plasma as an energy source to carry out the fractional skin resurfacing procedure.
Opus Plasma uses a one-of-a-kind plasma technology to control the energy distributed on to the skin with precision, minimizing inflammation that leads to longer recovery. The biggest advantage of the Opus Plasma Fractional Laser versus other skin resurfacing methods is downtime – Opus Plasma requires less downtime to recover.
What Should I Expect?
The entire procedure for Opus Plasma is a quick, 15-minute treatment in office. A Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant will do the laser resurfacing procedure and will give an application of a topical anesthetic. As mentioned before, there is minimal downtime, so you can undergo the treatment a few days or a week before an event.
We offer a complimentary consultation with the practitioner and she/he will assess your skin and personalized the best treatment plan for you based on your skin goals. You may begin to notice improvements just after one treatment, but for optimal results, 2 or 3 treatments may be recommended.
Is The Treatment Painful?
Every patient and treatment plan is different and a degree of discomfort will vary with everyone. Topical anesthetic can be applied by the practitioner to numb the treatment area before the treatment takes place to minimize any discomfort.
What Does Recovery Look Like?
Recovery depends on the treatment plan that has been recommended by your practitioner. You may experience a day or two of mild to moderate redness and swelling, but not significant enough to interfere with your day-to-day activities. Using moderate settings can lower the downtime to minimal. Studies have shown that Opus Plasma required 50% less downtime when compared to another fractional skin resurfacing laser.
Who Is A Good Candidate for Opus Plasma?
The Opus Plasma is a versatile tool to meet the needs of a wide demographic population of patients of different age groups, skin types, and skin concerns. If you are someone that wants to address aging, acne, blotching from sun exposure, scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, or lines, then looking into an Opus Plasma treatment would be desirable. A practitioner will be able to develop the optimal treatment plan for you and is able to dial the energy of plasma to personalize your needs.
