What is Butt Lift Surgery?
Dealing with loose, wrinkled skin on your rear end can be discouraging, especially if you maintain a workout regimen and follow a healthy diet. This condition is often amplified in those who have recently lost a significant amount of weight. For this reason, Beleza Surgery provides butt lift surgery to repair skin laxity with skin removal and skin tightening to reveal a firmer, lifted bottom. There are many benefits of receiving a butt lift, such as firmer buttocks in an elevated position with taut skin underneath. This exciting after weight loss surgery, performed by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Staci Hix-Hernandez, is sometimes performed in conjunction with other body sculpting surgeries, such as an abdominoplasty, a thigh lift, or a lower body lift.

What Can I Expect from My Butt Lift?
Your butt lift will be performed under general anesthesia at our Cedar Park, TX accredited OR in about two hours; however, it could last longer if you are combining procedures. Incisions will be made underneath the fold of your buttocks where the top of the thigh and the bottom of the butt meet. Excess skin will be removed so that the skin remaining can be lifted to a better position. The muscles will be tightened as well. Sometimes, it is recommended that liposuction should be added to the surgery for optimal results. Once your procedure is complete, your incisions will be sewn closed and monitored in our recovery area by our experienced team of nurses. After your butt lift surgery, you should expect swelling and bruising on and around the surgical site, which may last a number of months. It may be painful to sit in a normal position for a period of time. It is of the utmost importance that you maintain every follow-up appointment, following incision-care guidelines, and listen to the advice provided by Dr. Hix-Hernandez. As your swelling decreases, you will begin to see the results of your surgery. Full results may not be seen for a full year after the surgery. After the healing process, any visible scarring can typically be concealed under undergarments and clothes.
Butt Lift FAQ
How much does a surgical butt lift cost?
The price of a surgical butt lift will depend on many factors. During your initial consultation, Dr. Hix-Hernandez, will listen to your concerns and talk to you about your desired outcome so she can create a personalized treatment plan that fits what you want. Once this is complete, Dr. Hix-Hernandez can estimate your costs and talk about payments we accept, including low-interest financing.
What is the difference between a butt lift and liposuction?
Butt lift surgery is better for individuals who have excess skin. Liposuction is a fat removal procedure which may be performed with a butt lift. During your appointment, Dr. Hix-Hernandez will ask about your concerns and then help you decide if liposuction, a butt lift, or both are best for your goals.
Will I have visible scarring?
Since a butt lift requires incisions, scarring is to be expected. However, Dr. Hix-Hernandez works to make scarring as thin as possible. In addition, she places incisions in the creases under your butt cheeks — so they are better concealed.
What happens if I gain weight after surgery?
The results of your butt lift procedure can be compromised if you gain a significant amount of weight. This is one reason why Dr. Hix-Hernandez recommends patients be at or near a healthy, stable weight before getting a butt lift. Dr. Hix-Hernandez also suggests you stick to a healthy diet and exercise routine to maintain your butt lift results.
Can I also get implants during a butt lift procedure?
While butt lift surgery is meant to give a higher and tighter appearance to your butt, it does not add volume. A butt augmentation is a procedure that uses a fat transfer or implants to give you more volume. For a better shape as well as tone, you can combine a butt augmentation and lift.
