What is Blepharoplasty?
The eyes are a beautiful aspect of the face that deserves to be seen, but sometimes excess skin around the eyes can render a tired and unflattering facial appearance. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Staci Hix-Hernandez uses blepharoplasty (also known as eyelid surgery) to remove excess skin and lift the lower or upper eyelid, creating a younger and awakened facial appearance. Many men and women have eyelid surgery at Beleza Surgery to correct sagging skin, leading to improved function and appearance. Blepharoplasty, whether lower or upper, creates a fresh, youthful appearance and can give you natural yet noticeable improvements. If you're interested in rejuvenating your eyes with eyelid surgery to remove excess skin, schedule a consultation with Dr. Hix-Hernandez at one of her locations in Cedar Park, Round Rock, Austin, or Killeen, TX.
"I've been on my mommy makeover journey for quite some time now. But I am over joyed to have finally found the perfect doctor and staff. The Beleza Medspa/Surgery staff and Dr.Hernandez are very welcoming and informative. They are not just after your money they actually care about you and what’s best for you! The way they walked me through every process and answered all the questions I had(and I had a lot of them). I recently had my surgery this past Monday, and I cannot wait to see my final results. Thank you to everyone at the Beleza Medspa/Surgery for making this such a smooth process for me."- S.S. / Google / Apr 27, 2021

"My experience here was excellent. I did my research before deciding where to go for my Botox and filler and ended up choosing Beleza because of their extensively documented processes on their website as well as their very professional social media presence and high ratings on Yelp. They really did not disappoint. Booking ProcessThey were super easy to get ahold of and worked with me and my packed schedule to get me an appointment. It had to be rescheduled on my behalf once and then I ended up calling again because my work schedule allowed for my original appointment time again and they were so understanding on the phone and let me take my original date/time.OfficeThe office is well maintained and very clean and I was greeted warmly right away by Elena, after I filled out my paperwork I was greeted by Nancy. Treatment Nancy took me back and was very thorough during our consult. I am new to Botox/fillers and she has been in esthetics for 24 years so she had a ton of knowledge but what was even better was that she was that she responded to all my questions with care and kindness. I got filler in my cheeks and a bit in my undereye trough, Botox in my 11’s and then a little Botox around the mouth. She explained every step of the way and made me feel very at ease even though I’m not a big fan of needles. Overall my experience here was amazing and I will continue to return for more services with their lovely and knowledgable staff!"- S.M. / Yelp / Jan 22, 2021
What Can I Expect from Eyelid Surgery?
Depending on the complexity of your eyelid surgery, some form of anesthesia will be provided. This cosmetic procedure may be done on the upper eyelid alone, on the bottom portion, or a combination of both upper and lower.
- Upper: Upper blepharoplasty assists in decreasing the folds of skin that impair vision to produce a more flattering look. The incision point is often placed along the natural crease to remove skin and tissue.
- Lower: Eyelid correction on the lower lid is performed to reduce puffy and bulging skin beneath the lower eyelid. In most cases, an incision is carefully made along the lash line to surgically remove tissue and fat, and the skin is delicately lifted to produce a softer, flatter look.
Your eyelid surgery could last up to two hours at our accredited OR in our Cedar Park, TX location based on whether one or both eyes are treated. After the procedure, you should expect a few days to recover and rest at home. A cold compress can help reduce discomfort, swelling, and bruising. The outcomes from blepharoplasty can last years, but while they are long-lasting, the aging process does not stop. To complement your surgical outcomes, other nonsurgical cosmetic treatments at Beleza Surgery, such as lasers, chemical peels, and fillers, can be paired to create a fresh appearance.
If you find it difficult to see or apply makeup because of hanging skin on the upper eyelid, or you are frustrated by bulging bags underneath your eyes, then cosmetic eyelid surgery at our accredited, on-site operating room at Beleza Surgery in Cedar Park, TX may be right for you. This enhancement can allow you to look and feel younger and more alert while offering a gorgeous answer to your vision impairment concerns. We invite you to call one of our locations in Cedar Park, Round Rock, Austin, or Killeen, TX to schedule a consultation with Dr. Staci Hix-Hernandez.
