Microneedling is a safe, office-based procedure that allows us to take anti-aging therapy to the next level. Simply, a series of tiny needles are used to painlessly pierce your skin. The purpose of the microneedles is to reach the lower layer of your skin, the dermis. It is in the dermis where collagen is made, the building block of your skin. It is also in the dermis where the signs of aging and sun damage show up. So being able to get to the dermis is critical to producing results. Unfortunately many procedures that are offered do not reach the dermis and have limited effectiveness.

The effect of the tiny microneedles entering the dermis is to cause small micro traumas. Just like any other wound, these micro-traumas stimulate the body’s repair mechanism.
